Artist and Painting
Pierre, Fernand Born in 1922 in Port-au-Prince. Before becoming a full time artist in 1948, he was a wood turner who made little dogs which he sold as house decorations. His subjects are characterized in his early period by Victorian houses still seen in old section of Port-au-Prince and later progressed to jungle scenes with colorful zebras and giraffes. He has exhibited locally and in the U.S. and was represented by a mural in the Episcopal Cathedral.
