Artist and Painting

Pierre Andre was born in 1916 in Port-au-Prince. He was a farmer until he decided to devote his life to voodoo. Beginning to paint in 1954, remained deeply immersed in voodoo as a religion and art subject. A growing demand for his works did not change his way of life nor urge him to paint more than he felt like, living in his modest home beside a voodoo temple.
