Artist and Painting
Obas Charles was born in 1927 in Plaisance; deceased. A musician as well as a painter, Obas joined the Centre d’Art in 1948 and left to help found the Foyer des Arts Plastiques in 1950. He has been exhibited in the U.S. and S.A., and won a First Prize at the ONT Competition in 1958. His works are characterized by the grey colors brushed vertically, suggesting rain.
