Artist and Painting
Mentor Louines
Native of St. Louis de Sud. Mentor attended classes with the French Friars in the town of Verrettes. It was in 1964 that he first started painting, using Sapolin and a brush made of goat hair attached to a quill or broom. His paintings of street scenes and religious subjects remind one of tapestries as well as of the stained glass windows of twelfth century France.
